Description

PATEK PHILIPPE CALATRAVA Ref. 3796D Mens 18K Gold Watch with Hobnail Bezel - Papers

Beautiful Condition with Band & Buckle - Papers & Folia - 1 Year Warranty

Today's offering showcases this handsome Certified Pre-Owned example of one of the company's Calatrava watches with “Clous de Paris” guilloche bezel and extremely fine handwound movement.

As a mens midsize, it is well-suited for someone with small wrists.

The ref. 3796 is the direct replacement for the archetypal ref. 96. Like the 96, the 3796 showcases the Bauhaus design principle of “form follows function”. It achieves its powerful impact through the use of clean, simple, and elegant lines.

The 96 was the original Calatrava...a true icon, occupying a prestigious place among the great wristwatches of the 19th century and the first model of what many consider today to be the most elegant and distinguished line of dress watches: the Calatrava. Launched in 1932, it was not only the first Calatrava, but also one of Patek Philippe’s first models to have a reference number.

Handsomely crafted by the case maker Atelier Réunis, with a dial made by the legendary dial maker Stern Frères, the ref. 3796 was launched in 1982 and made well into the 1990's.

Powered by its illustrious Patek Philippe caliber 215PS movement, it excels in technical merits. Crafted and finished with by Patek Philippe with the extraordinary care associated with the world's finest watch manufacturer, it was awarded the prestigious "Geneve Quality Seal".

Besides employing a superior mechanism, the Calatrava also has an elegant case graced by double row hobnail bezel and timelessly classic white Roman dial.

It is all original and in gorgeous condition. The dial is like new. The case is mint with only slight wear. The sides are unpolished and retain all of their original Patek factory applied satin finish. Accopmanying it are its original Patek strap and original 18K Patek tang buckle.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker, has performed any needed servicing making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time on par with a new Patek.

Accompanying the watch are its original certificate of origin paper, booklets, and folio.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

A very handsome watch in superior all-original original condition that can be worn daily or just for special occasions.

The ref. 3796 is an essential part of any Patek Philippe watch collection.
