Grand Seiko, as it has been called since becoming a fully independent brand in 2017, has perhaps seemed like a less available option to many watch fans and is not particularly well known beyond the watch community. That’s about to change. In April 2020, CEO Shinji Hattori announced plans to make Grand Seiko one of the leaders in the luxury watch industry, with new mono-brand boutiques opening in major cities around the world. It’s an opportunity to see first-hand the unparalleled quality of these watches, and even purchase a vintage model – something collectors are sure to love.
Watch fans and Grand Seiko owners have been putting their watches on display via social media over the past few weeks. Which do you think are the best snapshots, and what models do you see on the wrists of our community members? We’ll be posting the best pictures here in the magazine, on Instagram, and on Facebook as part of our Grand Seiko Brand Week that kicks off on June 8th. Thanks to everyone who shared their watches with us!
